I would only take it after ovulation and stop when af arrives or you're pregnant.

Maca helps balance estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Clomid increases estrogen which causes your body to produce more fsh which cause eggs to grow. If you take Maca during the follicular phase (time before ovulation) then it will decrease the effects of clomid.
References :
Maca is consumed as food for humans and livestock, suggesting any risk from consumption is rather minimal. However, maca does contain glucosinolates, which can cause goitres when high consumption is combined with a diet low in iodine. Though this is common in other foods with high levels of glucosinolate, it is uncertain if maca consumption can cause or worsen a goitre.[8] Maca has also been shown to reduce enlarged prostate glands in rats[9][10] though its effects on humans are unknown.

Small-scale clinical trials performed in men have shown that maca extracts can heighten libido and improve semen quality,[11][12] though no studies have been performed on men with sexual dysfunction or infertility. Maca has not been shown to affect sex hormone levels in humans[13] In addition, maca has been shown to increase mating behavior in male mice and rats.[14]

Dong Qai ( i dont know if i spelled that right)
Evening Primrose Oil
You can get a tea with these herbs in them
You should also make sure you get plenty of sunlight, vitamin D works wonders.
Also, try to do the same thing everyday--- go to bed at the same time, try not to use the lights in your house at night, try to do things in accordance with the daylight. Try to keep your stress levels low, and eat healthy foods rich in iron, vitamin D, and vitamin C.
Get plenty of sleep and excersize a little every day.

If this fails- at least keep a record of how you feel, if you have PMS or moodswings. Then see if you can recognize a pattern.
I dont know anything about maca, sorry

How long have you been bleeding for? THe first 3 years can be irregular
References :
im 17 too, nearly 18 and mine is just starting to even itself out

You should definitely consult your MD. Missed periods could be the result of numerous medical conditions that need to be treated or diagnosed by a doctor.

I use Vitex, which is actually called Chaste Berry. It has been used for thousands of years to promote fertility. It can however cause mis carriage if you're trying to get pregnant. I have PCOS, and take it so that I get a period. I use 20 drops of the tincture in a glass of water, and then take two supplements, one at lunch and one at dinner. It can take from 3 - 6 months to see consistent results.
References :
Google Chaste Berry, or VItex, there is tons of stuff written about this supplement. I can't credit just one website.

Maca Root is a nutritional supplement from the Andes in Peru, that has been called a 'superfood".
While it won't leap tall buildings in a single bound (or cause you to do the same :-) ), it does have a lot going for it in terms of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other plant chemicals.
So even if you aren't so bedazzled as to wear your underwear on the outside, like Superman, it can give you greater stamina, endurance, and mental concentration.
What can Peru's 'Superfood' do for you?
Maca root is used for fertility enhancement (even in animals!), male and female menopause, stamina, endurance, and hormone related problems in both men and women.

For example, men have used it for impotence, erectile problems, and increased testosterone levels. Women have used Maca Root for hot flashes, a HRT alternative, perimenopause, and PMS associated problems. It will not cause ovaries to atrophy, unlike HRT, as it stimulates the body to produce its own hormones, instead of supplying the body with hormones.

Maca Root works so effectively for both men's and women's hormonal imbalances because instead of supplying plant hormones (like phytoestrogens), it acts on the hypothalamus-pituitary gland. This hormonal pathway produces precursers to male and female hormones, as well as affecting the adrenal glands. Maca does not necessarily stimlulate it, but acts in a regulatory manner, so whether your body is producing too much or too little of a particular hormone, consuming Maca will balance your system.

What's in Maca Supplements?
Maca contains amino acids, minerals, sterols, fatty acids, vitamins, saponins, tannins, and carbohydrates (maca root is a tuber, a starch).

amino acids - alanine, argine, aspartime, glutamine, glycine, histidine, OH-proline, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, sarcosine, serine, threonine, tyrosine, and valine. Protein makes up 11 - 14% of maca root.

minerals - calcium (this is the main mineral, with about 10%), copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, silica, and traces of iodine, manganese and sodium

sterols - brassicasterol, erogosterol, ergostadienol, campesterol, sitosterol, and stigmasterol. (Plant sterols are part of the cell membrane and they are also used as the starting material in the production of steroidal drugs. They may inhibit tumour growth and regulate blood cholesterol).

fatty acids - laric, myristic, palmitic, palmitoleic, linoleic, arachidic, steric, behanic, nervonic, lignoceric, tridecanoic,7-tridecanoic, perntadecanoic,7-pentadecanoic, heptadecanoic,9-heptadecanoic,nonadecanoic,11-nonadecanoic, and 15-eicosenoic.

vitamins - A, B1, B2, B3, B12, C, D and E

Are there any side effects in this 'Peruvian Ginseng'?
No. Maca root is not a stimulant. It does not contain caffeine like guarana and coffee, so it doesn't affect the central nervous system. It is basically a food, so is classed as a nutritional supplement in the same manner as spirulina, wheat grass and green barley, as opposed to a manufactured vitamin like vitamin a.

You might find some websites claiming they use the "true" maca root, and warning you to be careful about buying the right one. Their intentions might be good :-), but Lepidium peruvianum and Lepidium meyenii are both one and the same maca plant! The difference in name comes from the lack of singularity that sometimes occurs when botanists name plants. One refers to the species, one to the genus.

What you might want to look out for when you buy MACA Root is whether it was grown organically, without the use of pesticides, and where it was grown in Peru. Some of the growing areas in the Andes are affected by contaminated water from mines, so you could end up with mercury or lead contamination. And of course, your Maca Root should not be diluted with any fillers. Some Maca is also irradiated. This is a process that kills bacteria, but there is some controversy over its impact on we humans. Select a reputable brand with hygenic storage facilities, and that should minimise spoilage from bacteria.
References :
hope this helps.

No, they should not be harmful. This combination is used to treat male infertility and prostate problems.

I would advise, however, taking them only after seeing your naturopath. There are various drug/food interactions with some herbs and some meds so you really have to take these things under your health practitioner's supervision.
References :
naturopath

No, you could take all of those at the same time as long as you abide by any warnings on the bottles. The only real exception to that would be if you are taking any prescriptions, but you can check with your pharmacist if any of those will interact with the drug.
