Study research reveals an assortment of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, sterols, fatty acids, glucosinates and polysaccharides found in maca. They also discovered two novel compounds, the macamedes and macaenes. These two compounds are believed to be responsible for maca’s sex boosting properties.
This idea was also tested in vivo studies where was revealed that the maca extract promotes libido, sexual potency and increased frequency of sex.
