Maca and sport

In a research, eight trained male cyclists were given maca extract for consumption in a period of time of 14 days. In this study it was investigated the effect of maca supplementation on endurance performance and sexual desire in trained male cyclist. The results showed that in the trained male cyclist, maca extract improved 40 km cycling time trial performance, significantly as well as their sexual desire.
